Biography of Eugene Ormandy

Eugene Ormandy (* 18. November 1899 in Budapest; † 12. March 1985 in Philadelphia) was an uS-amerikanischer Dirigent und Geiger ungarischer Herkunft. He was 85 years old. He was married to Stephanie Goldner. His education included Eötvös Loránd University and Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He worked at Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He received 6 awards, including Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Presidential Medal of Freedom. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
