She was married to Sargent Shriver. Her education included Stanford University and Manhattanville University. Her faith was Roman Catholic. She received 10 awards, including Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great, Grand Gold Decoration of Styria. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery.
