Biography of Ferdinand Foch

Ferdinand Foch (* 2. October 1851 in Tarbes; † 20. March 1929 in Paris) was a marschall von Frankreich im Ersten Weltkrieg. He was 77 years old. He was married to Julie Bienvenüe. He had at least 3 children (1 son and 2 daughters). He studied at École polytechnique. He received 10 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Croix de guerre 1914–1918. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Cathédrale Saint-Louis-des-Invalides.
