Biography of François Furet

François Furet (* 27. March 1927 in 7th arrondissement of Paris; † 12. July 1997 in Toulouse) was a französischer Historiker. He was 70 years old. He studied at Lycée Janson-de-Sailly. He worked at School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and University of Chicago. He received 6 awards, including Knight of the Legion of Honour, Hannah Arendt Prize. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Saint-Pierre-Toirac.
