Biography of Frans Brüggen

Frans Brüggen (* 30. October 1934 in Amsterdam; † 13. August 2014 in Amsterdam) was a niederländischer Dirigent und Flötist. He was 79 years old. His education included University of Amsterdam, Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Ignatius Gymnasium. He worked at Royal Conservatory of The Hague and Conservatorium van Amsterdam. His awards include Golden Medal for Merit to Culture, Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion and Eremedaille voor Kunst en Wetenschap in Goud.
