Biography of Galileo Galilei

Galileo Galilei (* 15. February 1564 in Pisa; † 8. January 1642 in Arcetri) was an italienischer Philosoph, Mathematiker, Physiker und Astronom. He was 77 years old. He was married to Marina Gamba. He had at least 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter). He studied at University of Pisa. He worked at University of Padua and University of Pisa. His faith was Latin Church. He was awarded the International Space Hall of Fame. He was buried at Basilica of Santa Croce.
