Biography of Gerhard Rudolf Meyer

Gerhard Rudolf Meyer (* 19. June 1908 in Crimmitschau; † 24. October 1977 in Berlin) was a deutscher Vorderasiatischer Archäologe, Museumsleiter und Kulturpolitiker, MdV. He was 69 years old. His education included University of Rostock, University of Greifswald and University of Berlin. He worked at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Vorderasiatisches Museum Berlin. He received 4 awards, including Banner of Labor, National Prize of East Germany.
