Gherman Titov (* 11. September 1935 in Verkh-Zhilino; † 20. September 2000 in Moscow) was a soviet cosmonaut. He was 65 years old. His education included Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy and Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. He received 8 awards, including Order of Lenin, Hero of the Soviet Union. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
