Biography of Gordon Parks

Gordon Parks (* 30. November 1912 in Fort Scott; † 7. March 2006 in New York City) was an american photographer, musician, writer and film director. He was 93 years old. He was married to Genevieve Young. He had at least 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter). His education included St. Paul Central High School, Ricker College and Storm King School. He received 8 awards, including Spingarn Medal, National Medal of Arts. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
