Grant Avakyan (* 15. October 1924 in Baku; † 28. February 2017 in Krasnodar) was a hero of the Soviet Union. He was 92 years old. His education included Azerbaijan Higher Military Naval School and V. I. Lenin Military-Political Academy. He received 10 awards, including Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", Order of the Red Banner. He was buried at Slovyanskoye Cemetery.
