Halil İnalcık (* 26. May 1916 in Istanbul; † 25. July 2016 in Ankara) was a turkish historian and writer. He was 100 years old. His education included Ankara University Faculty of Language and History – Geography and School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. His faith was Islam. He received 7 awards, including Presidential Culture and Arts Grand Awards, T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı Kültür ve Sanat Büyü. His cause of death was multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. He was buried at Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
