Hannes Alfvén (* 30. May 1908 in Norrköping; † 2. April 1995 in Danderyd) was a swedish electrical engineer, plasma physicist and science fiction author (1908–1995), winner of the 1970 Nobel Prize for Physics. He was 86 years old. He was married to Kerstin Alfvén. He had at least 1 child (1 daughter). He studied at Uppsala University. His faith was atheism. He received 10 awards, including Nobel Prize in Physics, Polhem Prize. He was buried at Djursholms Begravningsplats.
