Deutsch-amerikanischer Philosoph
Hans Jonas (* 10. May 1903 in Mönchengladbach; † 5. February 1993 in New York City) was a deutsch-amerikanischer Philosoph. He was 89 years old. He was married to Lore Jonas. His education included University of Marburg, Heidelberg University, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and University of Freiburg. He worked at Princeton University, Columbia University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, University of Chicago and Carleton University. His awards include Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Peace Prize of the German Publishers' and Booksellers' Association and Dr. Leopold Lucas Prize.
