Biography of Hans Mayer

Hans Mayer (* 19. March 1907 in Cologne; † 19. May 2001 in Tübingen) was a deutscher Literaturwissenschaftler. He was 94 years old. His education included University of Bonn, University of Cologne and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He worked at University of Tübingen, Leipzig University and Leibniz University Hannover. He received 8 awards, including National Prize of East Germany, Great Cross with Star and Sash of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was buried at Dorotheenstadt Cemetery.
