Biography of Igor Semjonowitsch Kon

Igor Semjonowitsch Kon (* 21. May 1928 in Saint Petersburg; † 27. April 2011 in Moscow) was a russischer Soziologe und Sexualwissenschaftler. He was 82 years old. He studied at Herzen University. He worked at Vologda State Pedagogical University, Saint Petersburg State University, Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University, Institute of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences of the CC of the CPSU, N.N. Miklukho-Maklai Institute of Anthropology and Ethnography RAS and National Research University – Higher School of Economics. He was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class without swords. His cause of death was disease.
