Biography of Jack Hirshleifer

Jack Hirshleifer (* 26. August 1925 in Brooklyn; † 26. July 2005 in Pacific Palisades) was an economics professor and economic theorist. He was 79 years old. He studied at Harvard University. He worked at University of California, Los Angeles, University of Chicago and RAND Corporation. His awards include Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association, Fellow of the Econometric Society and Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
