Biography of Jan Mikusiński

Jan Mikusiński (* 3. April 1913 in Ivano-Frankivsk; † 27. July 1987 in Katowice) was a polnischer Mathematiker. He was 74 years old. His education included Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Jagiellonian University. He worked at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, University of Wrocław, University of Warsaw, University of Silesia in Katowice, Institute of Mathematics and University of Florida. He received 4 awards, including Stefan Banach Prize, Commander with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
