Jean-Charles de Borda (* 4. May 1733 in Dax; † 19. February 1799 in Paris) was a französischer Mathematiker und Seemann. He was 65 years old. His education included École royale du génie de Mézières and collège Henri-IV de La Flèche. He worked at French Army and French Navy. He was awarded the 72 names on the Eiffel Tower. He was buried at Montmartre Cemetery.
