Biography of John Aitchison

John Aitchison (* 22. July 1926 in East Linton; † 23. December 2016 in Glasgow) was a scottish statistician. He was 90 years old. His education included University of Cambridge, University of Edinburgh and Preston Lodge High School. He worked at University of Virginia, University of Glasgow, Standard Life, University of Cambridge and University of Liverpool. He received 4 awards, including William Christian Krumbein Medal, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
