Biography of John Dill

John Dill (* 25. December 1881 in Lurgan; † 4. November 1944 in Walter Reed Army Medical Center) was a britischer Feldmarschall. He was 62 years old. He was married to Ada Maud Le Mottée and Nancy Isabelle Cecil Charrington. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Staff College, Camberley, Royal Military College, Sandhurst and Cheltenham College. He received 10 awards, including Croix de guerre 1914–1918, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
