Biography of John Middleton

John Middleton (* 22. May 1921 in London; † 27. February 2009 in New Haven) was a britischer Anthropologe und Afrikawissenschaftler. He was 87 years old. His education included University of Oxford and University of London. He worked at Northwestern University, University of Lagos, New York University, Yale University, University of Cape Town, University of Virginia and SOAS, University of London. His awards include Distinguished Africanist Award, Huxley Memorial Medal and Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was falling from height.
