John Norman Murrell (* 2. March 1932 in Brixton; † 25. January 2016 in Chailey) was a theoretical chemist who made important contributions to the understanding of the spectra of organic molecules. He was 83 years old. His education included University of London and Reigate Grammar School. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society and Meldola Medal and Prize.
