Biography of Julius Nyerere

Julius Nyerere (* 13. April 1922 in Butiama; † 14. October 1999 in London) was a tanzanian politician and writer, first Prime Minister and President of Tanzania. He was 77 years old. He was married to Maria Nyerere. He had at least 1 child (1 daughter). His education included Makerere University, University of Edinburgh and University of Fort Hare. His faith was Catholicism. He received 10 awards, including Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding, Order of José Martí. His cause of death was leukemia.
