Biography of Lasar Aronowitsch Ljusternik

Lasar Aronowitsch Ljusternik (* 31. December 1899 in Zduńska Wola; † 22. July 1981 in Moscow) was a russischer Mathematiker. He was 81 years old. His education included Lomonosov Moscow State University and Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow Imperial University. He worked at Lomonosov Moscow State University and N. I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. He received 5 awards, including Stalin Prize, 2nd degree, Order of Lenin. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
