Biography of Marc Augé

Marc Augé (* 2. September 1935 in Poitiers; † 24. July 2023 in Poitiers) was a french anthropologist and geographer. He was 87 years old. He was married to Françoise Héritier. His education included École Normale Supérieure, Lycée Louis-le-Grand, Lycée Montaigne, École pratique des hautes études and Paris Descartes University. He received 7 awards, including Prix Dodo, Officer of the Legion of Honour.
