Maurice Herzog (* 15. January 1919 in 3rd arrondissement of Lyon; † 13. December 2012 in Neuilly-sur-Seine) was a french mountaineer and politician. He was 93 years old. He was married to Marie-Pierre de Cossé Brissac. He studied at HEC Paris. He received 7 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Croix de guerre 1939–1945.
