Maurice Jarre (* 13. September 1924 in 5th arrondissement of Lyon; † 28. March 2009 in Los Angeles) was a french composer and conductor. He was 84 years old. He was married to France Pejot and Laura Devon. His education included University of Paris and Conservatoire de Paris. He received 5 awards, including Academy Award for Best Original Score, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
