Max Schneider (* 20. July 1875 in Eisleben; † 5. May 1967 in Halle (Saale)) was a deutscher Musikhistoriker. He was 91 years old. He worked at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and University of Wrocław. His awards include Patriotic Order of Merit in Gold and National Prize of East Germany. He was buried at St. Laurentius church.
