Biography of Oskar Halecki

Oskar Halecki (* 26. May 1891 in Vienna; † 17. September 1973 in White Plains) was a polnischer Historiker. He was 82 years old. His education included University of Vienna and Jagiellonian University. He worked at University of Warsaw, Columbia University, Fordham University, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and Université polonaise à l'étranger. He received 6 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Knight of the Legion of Honour. He was buried at Langemark German war cemetery.
