Biography of Pieter Sjoerds Gerbrandy

Pieter Sjoerds Gerbrandy (* 13. April 1885 in Goaiïngamieden; † 7. September 1961 in The Hague) was a ministerpräsident der niederländischen Exilregierung in London. He was 76 years old. He was married to Hendrina Elisabeth Sikkel. His education included Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and University of Edinburgh. He worked at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His faith was Continental Reformed Protestantism. He received 5 awards, including Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire, Taylorian Lecture. He was buried at Oud Eik en Duinen.
