Richard Hofstadter (* 6. August 1916 in Buffalo; † 24. October 1970 in Manhattan) was an uS-amerikanischer Historiker. He was 54 years old. He was married to Felice Swados and Beatrice K. Hofstadter. His education included University at Buffalo, Columbia University and City Honors School. He worked at Columbia University, University of Maryland and University of Cambridge. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Pulitzer Prize for History. His cause of death was leukemia.
