Biography of Robert Shackleton

Robert Shackleton (* 25. November 1919 in Todmorden; † 9. September 1986 in Ravello) was a britischer Romanist, Literaturwissenschaftler und Bibliothekar. He was 66 years old. He studied at Oriel College. He worked at University of Oxford. His awards include Commander of the Order of the British Empire, honorary doctor of the University of Bordeaux and doctor honoris causa from the Paris-Sorbonne University.
