Rosalind Franklin (* 25. July 1920 in Notting Hill; † 16. April 1958 in Chelsea) was a britische Biochemikerin, klärte die Struktur der DNA-Doppelhelix auf. She was 37 years old. Her education included University of Cambridge, St Paul's Girls' School, Newnham College and Norland Place School. She worked at King's College London and Birkbeck, University of London. Her awards include Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize and 72 scientist women names on the Eiffel tower. Her cause of death was ovarian cancer. She was buried at Willesden Jewish Cemetery.
