Biography of Rudolf Virchow

Rudolf Virchow (* 13. October 1821 in Świdwin; † 5. September 1902 in Berlin) was a deutscher Pathologe, Anthropologe, Prähistoriker und Politiker. He was 80 years old. He had at least 3 children (1 son and 2 daughters). His education included Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and University of Würzburg. He worked at University of Würzburg, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Charité. He received 8 awards, including honorary citizen of Berlin, Copley Medal. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Alter St.-Matthäus-Kirchhof Berlin.
