Scott Carpenter (* 1. May 1925 in Boulder; † 10. October 2013 in Denver) was an american test pilot, astronaut and aquanaut. He was 88 years old. His education included University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado, United States Naval Test Pilot School, United States Naval Academy and Boulder High School. He received 6 awards, including Distinguished Flying Cross, Legionnaire of Legion of Merit. His cause of death was stroke.
