Biography of Sergei Natanowitsch Bernstein

Sergei Natanowitsch Bernstein (* 22. February 1880 in Odesa; † 26. October 1968 in Moscow) was a russischer Mathematiker. He was 88 years old. His education included Science Faculty of Paris, National University of Kharkiv and University of Paris. He worked at Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Lomonosov Moscow State University, National University of Kharkiv, Saint Petersburg State University, Steklov Institute of Mathematics and Imperial Kharkov University. He received 5 awards, including State Stalin Prize, 1st degree, Order of Lenin. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
