Sigurd Ottowitsch Schmidt (* 15. April 1922 in Moscow; † 22. May 2013 in Moscow) was a russischer Historiker und Ethnograph. He was 91 years old. He studied at MSU Faculty of History. He worked at Russian State University for the Humanities, Institute of Russian History and Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He received 7 awards, including Order of Honour, Pushkin Medal. He was buried at Vvedenskoye Cemetery.
