Sixto Durán-Ballén (* 14. July 1921 in Boston; † 15. November 2016 in Quito) was a president of Ecuador. He was 95 years old. He was married to Josefina Villalobos Paramo. His education included Stevens Institute of Technology, University of Wisconsin–Madison and Columbia University. He was awarded the Grand Cross 1st class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
