Biography of Stuart Hall

Stuart Hall (* 3. February 1932 in Kingston; † 10. February 2014 in London) was a jamaican-born British sociologist and cultural theorist. He was 82 years old. He was married to Catherine Hall. His education included Merton College, University of Oxford and Jamaica College. His awards include Fellow of the British Academy and Rhodes Scholarship. His cause of death was kidney failure. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
