Theodore Maiman (* 11. July 1927 in Los Angeles; † 5. May 2007 in Vancouver) was an american physicist/Inventor of first working laser. He was 79 years old. His education included Stanford University and University of Colorado Boulder. He received 8 awards, including Stuart Ballantine Medal, Oliver E. Buckley Condensed Matter Prize. His cause of death was mastocytosis.
