Biography of Thomas Sopwith

Thomas Sopwith (* 18. January 1888 in Kensington; † 27. January 1989 in Hampshire) was a britischer Flugpionier und Segelsportler. He was 101 years old. He was married to Beatrice Mary Leslie Hore-Ruthven and Phyllis Brodie Leslie Gordon. He studied at Cottesmore School. His awards include Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Knight Bachelor. He was buried at All Saints Church, Little Somborne.
