Biography of Timur Apakidse

Timur Apakidse (* 4. March 1954 in Tbilisi; † 17. July 2001 in Ostrovsky District) was a georgisch-russischer Kampfpilot und Generalmajor der russischen Luftwaffe. He was 47 years old. His education included Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, N.G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy and Nakhimov Naval School, Saint Petersburg. He received 7 awards, including Hero of the Russian Federation, Order "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR", 3rd class. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
