Biography of Tjalling C. Koopmans

Tjalling C. Koopmans (* 28. August 1910 in 's-Graveland; † 26. February 1985 in New Haven) was an amerikanischer Ökonom und Physiker niederländischer Abstammung. He was 74 years old. His education included Utrecht University, University of Amsterdam, Leiden University and University of Oslo. He worked at Princeton University, Yale University, University of Chicago, Netherlands School of Economics, League of Nations, Penn Mutual and British Merchant Shipping Industry Joint Working Party. He received 6 awards, including Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association.
