Biography of Victor Lange

Victor Lange (* 13. July 1908 in Markranstädt; † 29. June 1996 in Princeton) was a deutsch-amerikanischer Germanist und Anglist. He was 87 years old. His education included University of Toronto, Leipzig University and Thomasschule zu Leipzig. He worked at Princeton University, University of Toronto, Freie Universität Berlin, Cornell University and Smith College. He received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
