Biography of W. G. Hoskins

W. G. Hoskins (* 22. May 1908 in Exeter; † 11. January 1992 in Cullompton) was an english local historian (1908-1992) who founded the first university department of English Local History. He was 83 years old. His education included University of Exeter and Hele's School, Exeter. He worked at University of Leicester. His awards include Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Fellow of the British Academy and honorary doctorate.
