Valeriy Lobanovskyi (* 6. January 1939 in Kyiv; † 13. May 2002 in Zaporizhzhia) was an ukrainian football manager. He was 63 years old. His education included Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Odesa National Polytechnic University. He received 9 awards, including Order of the Badge of Honour, Order of the Red Banner of Labour. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Baikove Cemetery.
