Biography of Wilhelm Dilthey

Wilhelm Dilthey (* 19. November 1833 in Biebrich; † 1. October 1911 in Seis am Schlern) was a deutscher Philosoph, Pädagoge, Psychologe, Kulturhistoriker. He was 77 years old. He was married to Katharina Dilthey. He had at least 1 child (1 daughter). His education included Heidelberg University and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He worked at University of Wrocław, University of Basel, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Kiel University. His faith was Protestant church. He was awarded the Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order.
