Biography of Wilhelm Neef

Wilhelm Neef (* 28. January 1916 in Cologne; † 20. March 1990 in Potsdam) was a deutscher Filmkomponist und Dirigent. He was 74 years old. His education included Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium, Aachen, University of Cologne and University of Bonn. He worked at Stadttheater Hanau, Berlin State Opera and Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg. His awards include Fontane-Preis, Art Award of the FDGB and Patriotic Order of Merit in Gold. He was buried at Südwestkirchhof Stahnsdorf.
