William Abbott Herdman (* 5. September 1858 in Edinburgh; † 21. July 1924 in London) was a scottish marine zoologist, oceanographer. He was 65 years old. His education included University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Academy. He worked at University of Liverpool. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and Knight Bachelor. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
