Biography of William Edward Ayrton

William Edward Ayrton (* 14. September 1847 in London; † 8. November 1908 in London) was a britischer Physiker. He was 61 years old. He was married to Matilda Chaplin Ayrton and Hertha Marks Ayrton. He had at least 2 children (2 daughters). His education included University of Glasgow and University College London. He worked at University of Tokyo. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society and Royal Medal. He was buried at Brompton Cemetery.
